Definition and Purpose

Clusters are the groupings of Arx nodes that are assembled to collectively execute confidential operations. Clusters are created by Computation Customers as the set of Arx nodes to be used to collectively execute MPC operations. The Arx nodes comprising a Cluster are selected by customers based on their unique properties, in particular, based on their reputations, their available computational resource capacities, and their support of Trusted Execution Environments (TEEs). Computation Customers may also opt to reuse existing Clusters created by other customers if they adequately meet their needs, instead of creating their own, see the Reuse of Existing Clusters section for more on this.
